Invitation to Tender for Biological Recording in the Voluntary Sector

Opportunities for working with Natural England

Closing date for tenders was noon on 20th June 2012.  Tenders are now closed

The Invitation to Tender for Biological Recording in the Voluntary Sector(Project 1): Piloting structured surveillance of species (Project 265) has been added to Natural England’s internet e-sourcing pages.

The objective of this two year project, which ends in March 2014, is to explore the feasibility of establishing and supporting recording activity by volunteer biological recorders across all relevant taxonomic groups, focussed on a local network of sites that are structured by biotopes or habitat. It’s also important to show, through this work, how this approach can be implemented in other parts of the country. Potential applicants will need to register on the site to gain access to the specification and to complete the application process. If applicants have queries these should be directed to procurement adviser Christine Innes in the first instance.
