We are delighted to inform you that the Petition for a Royal Charter for the Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management was considered at a meeting of the Privy Council on the evening of the 7 November 2012 and the Order of Grant was signed by Her Majesty the Queen.
Whilst the IEEM is not chartered yet, it is a wonderful way to mark the final stages of its 21st Anniversary year. The Charter will come into effect when it is properly drawn up, signed and the Great Seal is applied. This could take several months and there is still a lot to do, but it is exciting news and marks the next chapter in the IEEM's history.
