Hot Water – film competition

Hot Water, an exciting new national film competition from Cool it Schools, invites young people and students to make a film, under 50 seconds long, on the theme of water. Films can take any stance – from mythological to factual, campaigning to beautiful – all entries are welcome and free!

The judges are an eminent team of scientists and film makers, some of whom will be known through the NBN. Prizes include having the masterpiece screened at the British Film Institute (BFI) and a film workshop from Nice and Serious Production Company.

The Hot Water competition is open to anyone age four to twenty five and the winning films will be screened at the BFI on November 26th, alongside the presentation of the Hot Water Awards. The closing date is October 30th.

Whilst the competition is aimed at children, Cool it Schools is also hoping that conservation groups will enter, so they can have some more specialised films about different species

Films will also be shown across the UK and further with the help of digital media, cinemas, blogging, social media, in order to spread this vital message round the world.
