University of Oxford PGCert in Ecological Survey Techniques and Short-Courses in Ecology

This University of Oxford flexible part-time Postgraduate Certificate is designed to equip students with the knowledge and understanding necessary to conduct informed ecological field surveys, delivered through an effective mixture of online, face-to-face and experiential learning.

Drawing from a rich pool of expertise, teaching is conducted by a highly knowledgeable and diverse team of practitioners and academics engaged directly with ecological issues.  Students benefit from tutor-led online study with a week-long face-to-face introductory module in Oxford during September.

Delivered by the University of Oxford Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Centre, this qualification is designed with professionals and volunteers working in ecology and environmental conservation in mind, as well as those wishing to make a change in career.

Key modules are also available throughout the year as standalone online 5-week Short-Courses which can be taken with or without academic accreditation:

Data Analysis in Ecology starting 29 October 2014 and 25 February 2015

Field Techniques for Surveying Mammals and Reptiles starting 07 January 2015

Field Techniques for Surveying Birds starting 11 February 2015

Field Techniques for Surveying Fish and Amphibians starting 25 March 2015

Field Techniques for Surveying Invertebrates starting 29 April 2015
