Data Deficits Workshop

Location:
Charles Darwin House, London
Starts:
Monday 22 September 2014, 10:00

Joint meeting of the Citizen Science and Macroecology Special Interest Groups of the British Ecological Society at
Charles Darwin House, London

The use of biological data collected by volunteers underpins many studies in large scale ecology. This one day workshop provides an opportunity for researchers, “citizen scientists” and third sector organisations to meet and discuss challenges and opportunities in the collection and use of biological data. Representatives from third sector organisations who collect primary data as well as users of this data are invited to share their views and experiences. The workshop is jointly organised by the two BES special interest groups representing consumers (Macroecology SIG) and producers (Citizen Science SIG) of citizen science data.
