UK Earthworms Identification Workshop

Earthworms are one of the most under-recorded groups despite their recognised importance to ecosystems and few people realise that we have  27 species native to the UK. Join us to take a look at the differences between these species and learn how you can make an important contribution to biological recording by taking part in the National Earthworm Recording Scheme.

This one day course costs £15 and includes: An introduction to earthworm biology and ecology, sampling methods for collecting earthworms Identification of UK earthworms using microscopes, overview of the National Earthworm Recording Scheme, a one year membership to the ESB and an ESB recorder pack (including the FSC ‘Key to the Earthworms of Britain and Ireland’)
